To celebrate Earth Day 2023, we are holding a creative art contest for our members 'Best out of Waste.'
Mumbai generates waste to the tune of approximately 7,025 tonnes per day. We are trying to create an awareness about recycling to drive our art contest.
Students can create a drawing, painting or an art piece using recycled everyday items. The focus should be on recycling + creativity and imagination.

RULES
Your art work should have at least one recycled item
The recycled item should not be purchased new and then used in the art. It has to be a used item.
You can paint/sketch/decorate using any methods. Any type of paint and art materials can be used - beads/mirrors/ribbons, etc
For small kids - Parents can help with the drawing and kids can colour/decorate
Parents should only guide – please do not give any specific ideas
Winning entries will be judged based on three main criteria:
1) Recycling of used everyday items - The more used items are recycled the higher weightage will be given.
2) Creativity and imagination
3) Overall impression of the art
Some examples are below:

We will choose 5 winners – based on age-groups used in our colour coding for books (Red/Blue/Green/Yellow/White). The winners will get:
1) Gyan Library t-shirt
2) Certificate
The best pieces of art will be showcased in the van and published on our website.
Please submit your entries at the bus by May 7th. Winners will be announced by May 14th.
